Letters of recommendation
I’ve known Luke for 20 years, and in that time, he’s been nothing short of a creative force. Whether it’s music, film, or now visual art, he approaches everything with an exceptional energy and originality. He doesn’t work with new tools—he bends them to his will, making AI feel less like a machine and more like an extension of his imagination his being
Luke has always had a way of bringing soul into whatever he does. His work is never just about the technical side of things. There’s something deeper—something human—that makes it stand out. I’ve watched him push boundaries, reinvent himself, and explore new worlds while staying true to his artistic self.
He’s one of the most driven, sensitive and hardworking people I know, and with the right support, he’ll keep making work that challenges and inspires the human condition

Luke Burton is a peerless innovator and educator – a world-class talent across multiple fields: music, video, audio, computing and AI.
His achievements in broadcast media have now been surmounted by a multi-disciplinary practice that immediately presents as both strikingly smart and dramatically dazzling.
I have witnessed this evolution accelerate over the past few years in particular. His empathic sensibility, underpinning huge leaps in technical capacity, has enabled a hectic yet humane re-presentation of both the present, past and future.
As a DJ I've shared stages and provided live sound, whilst accompanied by his astonishing inventions and projections (each of us responding to the programming of the other in real time) across contexts as small and freewheeling as pubs and street parties - to enormous, well-resourced stages, like Tumbalong Park for the most recent Vivid Festival.
I can commend his drive, nous, work-ethic and craft at any scale, in any location. Soon he will be recognised beyond the many sub-cultures he straddles I'm sure.
